The Electro-Fenton Process for Caffeine Removal from Water and Granular Activated Carbon Regeneration

چکیده

The electro-Fenton process (EF) has faced major challenges, including mass transfer limitations. When the targeted pollutants are present in water at very low concentrations, degradation kinetics slower than desired, which leads to high energy consumption. To overcome this drawback, coupled adsorption on activated carbon (AC) and EF can be performed. Therefore, compounds preconcentrated AC before elimination by process. As such, study, batch experiments were conducted using low-cost granular (GAC) packed a stainless-steel mesh for of caffeine. Once saturated, GAC is used as cathode during process, where capacity regenerated. This approach allows regeneration multiple cycles desorbed compounds. was studied end, purposes removal caffeine model compound. main goals work (i) study from three different matrices (ii) regenerate results reported show that it possible achieve up 95%, 100%, mineralization 70%, 72%, 76% pure water, simulated wastewater, wastewater effluent, respectively. In total achieved, efficiency 50% obtained first cycle. confirm ability loaded with

Ibuprofen Removal from a Pharmaceutical Wastewater using Electro-Fenton Process: An Efficient Technique (RESEARCH NOTE)

The aim of this research was to evaluate the effective parameters such as pH, current density (mA/cm2), H2O2/Fe2+ molar ratio, volume ratio of H2O2 to pharmaceutical wastewater (PhW) (ml/l) and reaction time (min) on the electro-Fenton process for the ibuprofen (as a pharmaceutical waste in water) removal. Since a synthetic wastewater with the same concentration of ibuprofen in a real pharmaceu...
